Autokey Solutions Utah is a mobile automotive locksmith based in Salt Lake City. No tow truck, no dealership appointment, no waiting a week for a key to ship — our van is a workshop, and it parks wherever your car is.
We built this around one simple truth: nobody plans to lose their car keys. It happens in a grocery store parking lot at 9pm, at a trailhead, at work, in the snow. So we set the business up to move — fully equipped vans, key blanks and fobs on board, and the programming equipment to cut and pair a key on the spot for most makes and models.
We specialize in American and Japanese vehicles — from a 2004 truck with a basic transponder to a current push-to-start with a proximity smart key. Same technicians, same equipment, no guessing.

01Can you make a car key if I lost all of my keys?
Yes. When every key is gone we originate a brand-new key from the vehicle's VIN, cut it and program it to the car at your location. No tow truck and no dealership appointment are needed.
02Do you come to me, or do I bring the car to you?
We come to you. Autokey Solutions Utah is fully mobile — the van is the workshop, and it parks wherever your car is: driveway, parking lot, roadside or workplace.
03What do I need to prove the car is mine?
Vehicle registration or title, plus a photo ID that matches. This is required on every key job. It is standard locksmith practice and it is what stops someone else from having a key made to your vehicle.
04Which vehicles do you work on?
American and Japanese cars, trucks and SUVs — Ford, Chevrolet, GMC, Ram, Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler, Cadillac, Buick, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Lexus, Acura, Subaru, Mazda, Infiniti and Mitsubishi. We do not service European vehicles or motorcycles.
05Can you open my car without damaging it?
Yes. Lockouts are opened with proper automotive entry tools. There is no drilling and no damage to the door, the lock or the wiring inside the door.
06My key broke off inside the lock. Can you get it out?
Yes. We extract the broken piece cleanly and cut you a fresh working key during the same visit.
07Do you program push-to-start smart keys and fobs?
Yes. Proximity smart keys, remote head keys and remotes are programmed and paired to your vehicle, then tested before we leave. You can supply your own fob or buy one from our stock.
08Do you speak Spanish?
